IMPORTANT!

Wow, so things have been really crazy around here.

I got a full scholarship to an all-girls summer camp. Basically, the premise is a theatre arts camp where we do a lot of outdoors stuff as well.

It's in Maine and I leave tomorrow!

And it is for a little over a month.
It sucks on the one hand because I am going to miss you all so much and I don't want it to seem like I am abandoning you. Because I wouldn't do that. I promise while I am cooped in a cabin, I'll be thinking of tips. :) On the other hand, this sounds like an amazing opportunity to lose weight!

I promise I'll be back as soon as I return.
I will miss you all!!!!
STAY STRONG! Make me proud!

The Super Fabulous Summer Start Entry

A FRESH START, a new month, the start of summer-
we CAN do this!!

I am so excited for summer! The start of June begins my self re-invention. It's sort of like January 1st for me, when everybody makes a bunch of goals and gets a clean slate. This summer I am going to be doing tons of dance classes, yoga classes, art projects, travel, etc. A few summers ago I was so lazy- I literally watched above five DVD's a day and basically sat around doing nothing. Blahhhh. But this summer I'm giving myself a full make-over.

Tips to Thin:

-I bought some lip gloss called "Fuze Slenderize- Guilt Free Lip Gloss"; on the bottle it says "Always on the lips... Never on the hips". On the package it says: "...one delicious dab on the lips will give you a taste of what all the Hollywood startlets are losing it over." It is amazing and definitely inspirational, even just looking at the quote on the tube!

-I also bought some "Extreme Lip Injection Lip Gloss",

I love this stuff because it is super distracting and a great excuse, plus your lips will look fabulous. It actually hurts a little bit the first few times and your lips will start to feel slightly numb. But when I put it on, the last thing I want to do is mess it up by eating. So I just carry a bottle with me and apply throughout the day.

-A lot of people have been asking me about the weight loss hypnosis tracks I listen to every night on my iPod. Here's how you can find some: http://www.free-hypnosisdownloads.com/;; click on "Weight Loss", click More Info, then just scroll down and you can download a bunch for free. That is how I first started getting mine. Then I got Limewire, so now all I have to do is type in "weight loss hypnosis" and tons of options come up. Wendi Friesen does amazing hypnosis, you can probably buy some of her CD's online or use Limewire if you have it. She is the one who has the "Body Sculpting" one I talked about before, where she helps you visualize youself at your weight. She also has a lot of weight loss ones in general, so I would check that out if you're interested.

-Sims 2! It is amazing how many hours you can pass playing this game without craving food. The only problem is it becomes so addicting that you start getting really lazy. So if you have this game, and you are ever having one of those moments where it feels like NOTHING can distract you and food is calling your name, this game will help. :)

-Take up some art hobbies this summer! This past year I joined a glass mosaic class and it's amazing, very distracting, and your hands are more than occupied. I would suggest finding a class or just going to your local crafts store and stocking up for those days when you need distractions. Take up fashion design so when you lose weight you can have an awesome new wardrobe for school. Or make jewelry, accessories, etc. Distract distract distract (:

-Run up the stairs, don't walk. Go to the mall and walk walk walk and shop and avoid the food court. Try on small clothes and feel motivated.

Here are your lovely answers to the questions of the day! I love you guys!:

1. What is your favorite distraction to keep from eating?
-listening/ downloading music and xanga'ing.
-Smoking Marijuana
-exercising
-listening to music, xanga, playing piano, guitar, volunteering at the animal shelter.
-reading. if i get really into a book, i'll forget about everything else. building my music collection. researching random topics. xanga-ing. medidating.
-getting on xanga, looking at a lot of thinspo or tip sites.
-I do the dishes, or clean up the house while listening to my favourite motivational music. It gets my mind off EVERYTHING.
-staying out all day 'n away from my house.
-my favorite distraction is hanging out with my friends, xanga, bike rides, sleeping.
-I like to clean my house and organize everything (keeps me busy plus after my house is sparkling clean it makes being at home really relaxing.) I also like to play the guitar, and grow things in my garden.
-Reading a good book. I can get lost in a romance novel for hours!
-Meditation. It truly does help to fast or eat less when you're driving to reach a sort of spiritual equilibrium.
-tennis
-Studying/reading. geeky, but then mum can't say my exams will suffer due to my dieting. Also I want to go to a really good university, so it helps.
-I have a scwhinn indoors bicycle right in front of the television. I watch The Hills or Gossip Girl for hours on end while I burn calories.
-running on my treadmill, on here, or out of the house usually works

2. What celebrity body would you love to have?
-ashlee simpson..basically so i could have pete wentz too
-Paris Hilton
-Eva Longoria, she looks amazing in swimwear!
-Jessica Alba. I'm so jealous of her legs
-gemma ward
-omaggag, mary kate.
-Maybe Rachel Bilson. She's beautiful in every aspect.
-Nicole Richie when she was super thinn.
-I would love to have Nicole Richie's super thin body...or... actually Angalina Jolie's super thin but super toned body.
-Jessica Biel has body I want. = tan, thin, and toned.
-It's a tie between Amy Studt (a fairly invisible these days singer. she's. so. tiny...) and Noémie Lenoir (she's the ridiculously gorgeous one on the M&s adverts, usually in the underwear/bikini
-Blake Lively and Audrina Partridge.
-kate moss or giselle or victoria beckham or omg there is too many anyone but mine haha

3. What are some exercises you do often and have found to be effective?
-WALKING. it's easy to do and makes a difference.
-Swimming, weight lifting
-Most effective exercises I find effective, step aerobics and cycling, for toning up my butt and thighs!
-Walking to school and walking dogs. I also love yoga and jumping on my trampoline.
-i don't have a car, so i walk loads, its easy & it definitely helps. i also love using the stationary bike at the gym, i really want one for home so i can use it more often.
-walking and running...anything just to keep busy
-i walk home at least once a week from school, it's about an hour- 2 hour walk but it usually keeps me motivated for the week.
-Dancin'! Soooo fun and the time goes by insanely quick.
- ellipticals are the best
-going on walks. bike rides. Sex. Gym Class.
-I Like to go for long long walks, like 6 miles. It takes about 1.25 hrs and isn't too strenuous, but really makes you feel toned afterward. I also love taking group yoga classes, and do ab workouts on the ball...
-Dancing! I do ballroom dancing, and I just went to my first competition a week ago. We were practicing three times a week for two hours, for several months beforehand, plus I was doing excersize on my own, so I lost a lot of weight, it was awesome.
-Swimming laps after an intense workout is almost therapeutic and builds long, lean muscles.
-Walking home from school/to the supermarket/to the library or cycling up and down the hills around my house. They're not big hills but...still hard! And the whole walking thing I get away with due to the recession, and because I do honestly do them to help out my Mum (I just do them more these days...).
-The platypus walk. It's used by a ton of Victoria's Secret models.
-running, football, thosedancer lunge things work amazing

You girls are amazing, thank you so much for your replies!

THINSPIRATION

OK, so for my next entry I am planning to make a big, giant list of songs to buy/download that will be perfect for dancing, workouts, walking/running, the beach, and just chilling. Last summer I mostly listened to Mika and Lily Allen, and whenever I hear them I am totally inspired to work-out, just like last summer.

Questions of the Day:

1. What are your favorite fun songs to exercise/dance to?

2. What are your goals for this summer?

3. Post a picture or link to a pic of the bikini of your dreams that you can't wait to fit into

Good luck!!!

I decided it is time for me to get serious. I do not want to keep saying to myself, "I will start tomorrow." I am turning over a new leaf. Summer is the perfect time for me to make that change. I bought a new diary today and I'm completely cleaning and re-organizing my bedroom. I also went through all my old magazines and found the fold-out exercises most of them offer. I'm going to try them, specifically the one from the new Seventeen magazine about how to get a bikini body in four weeks. This summer, I am going to make so many lifestyle changes and when I return to school, nobody will recognize me.

My mom is on one of her many diet attempts again, which is good for me because she's buying all this exercise equipment and diet magazines.

Tips to Thin:

1. When you need to pick something off the floor, don't bend your knees to bend down. It gives you a little stretch.

2. Leave your wallet at home so you can't buy food.

3. Go shopping and buy the most adorable piece of clothing that would look FABULOUS on you- in a size smaller. It will be amazing inspiration.

4. Use smells to trigger motivation. For me, whenever I smell sunblock, it reminds me of the beach and one of the reasons WHY I want to lose weight. My new moisturizer has a bit of sunblock in it, so everyday in the morning when I put it on, I am further motivated for that day and reminded of one of my thinspirations.

5. Brush your teeth often and use whitening strips. You will be less tempted to eat.

6. Yoga yoga yoga. Relaxing, slimming, peaceful. Find a class or buy a video.

7. At night when you are falling asleep, mentally sculpt the body you dream of in your mind. Picture yourself as you are and mentally take away that fat you'd like to lose. One of my weight loss hypnosis tracks on my iPod takes me through the steps to do this. It says "Your internal image of your body may be that of a heavier fat person. You subconscious mind only has the image of your body being heavy, and when you lose the weight, your mind works hard to gain it back because it feels that it doesn't match the internal image that it has. You need to change this image of how your mind envisions your body image so you can effectively lose the weight."

8. Sign up for camps for the summer, find a job, or anything that will keep you busy and keep your schedule very full.

"You will achieve success this year."
-from the fortune cookie that I did not eat

One of my favorite distractions lately is flipping through old magazines and finding cute bikinis that I would love to wear.

One of my best friends keeps taking me out to lunch every single day. Yesterday we went for Korean food and I ordered tofu soup. Note to vegetarians: No matter how many times you tell the people at Korean restaurants that you don't want any meat in your food, they will always include it. Well, at least it gives me an excuse not to eat it.

TIPS TO THIN gathered from various sources and some of my own input.

-Take photos of yourself and particularly the areas of your body you wish to improve. They are very motivating.

-There’s a reason why people exercise to their favorite music - listening to external stimulus takes your mind off of the physical activity. That’s the secret to making “exercise time” fly. If you’re concentrating on what your body is doing, the session is going to drag on for what will seem like days. Buy a portable music player, or situate yourself in front of a television.

-To be an efficient fat-burning machine, your body requires at least eight hours of sleep a night.

-Offer to go grocery shopping with your parent(s). When you're there, buy "safe" foods like celery, tea, carrots, etc. Make yourself a list beforehand, and drink a glass of water before you go, so you are not in hunger-mode and tempted to buy a lot. Chew gum as well while there. Make sure to add a few "non-safe" foods to the cart when your folks are watching so they are not suspicious. This is what works for me but it takes a bit of self control, from not eating the foods when you get home.

-Water water water, yeah yeah yeah. You've heard it before, now you get to hear it again. Our body needs a lot of water so give in to water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all!

-Drink a glass of water before you start a meal. Water naturally needs some space so that you feel fuller without actually having to stuff yourself. Drink water throughout as well. This is another way of making yourself full so that you can actually rise from the table eating less but feeling full just the same. Water plays a vital role in weight control.

-Green tea is amazing. You can burn 35-43% more fat during the day when you drink 3-5 cups of green tea. Tea helps calm a hungry belly. It soothes you and fills you up. No fat, no calories.

-Look at people/thin girls around you. When I'm at my yoga class, the girl in front of me has an amazing body. I watch her when we're doing poses and imagine it's me. It is very motivating.

-When you wake up in the morning, stretch. It will warm you up for the day so you are not completely exhausted. I make it a rule to do 50-100 crunches before I leave school. I also do the same amount throughout the day whenever I can, and as a rule, also before I go to bed.

-Sing. When you take up singing, you have to avoid certain foods like dairy, especially chocolate and milk, so it's a marvelous excuse. Also, if you're singing all the time, you can't eat a lot because your mouth and thoughts are preoccupied. It is also an excuse for the reason you're drinking so much tea and water.

Plus I should mention the song "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" by the Scissor Sisters- best song ever to workout to, it is physically impossible for me to hear it and not dance, haha.

Good luck, more later

HELLO THERE

<3

I finally got my own laptop, so I do not have to worry about my parents or my many siblings finding out.

My biggest thinspiration right now is summer. I'm doing a very intense musical theatre day camp for a full month and will be dancing a LOT. I don't want to be the girl in the class standing at the back anymore, avoiding the reflection off the mirror wall.

My other inspiration is that my best friend who moved away is coming back to visit. She has lost a lot of weight. We never talk about it, but I know she starves herself. I know this because all over her bedroom wall she had printed pictures of morbidly obese people and written "DO YOU WANT TO BE THIS FAT!?!" and put thin models up. She even wrote "Puking makes me feel beautiful". I would never put that up around where anyone could find it but her parents are very distant so I guess she has that kind of freedom. She also used to never eat when we hung out. Then she moved and I can only imagine how much thinner and prettier she is than me.

Another thinspiration is New York City this summer. I know I will lose weight while I am there, it's a given, with all the damn walking you do. That is why I can't wait to move there. Walk walk walk.

SOME TIPS I Have Been Following; more later:

-Chew green tea flavored gum. I just bought some today, it is antioxidant and only 5 cals for two pieces.

-If you can, download some weight loss hypnosis and listen to them as you fall asleep. I do this every night. It is supposedly one of the best ways to lose weight. I have some subliminal ones and others where they help you visualize yourself at the weight you would like to be. i have another one that is supposed to help your metabolism and another that is supposed to help you "love to exercise". If nothing else, they are very motivating.

-A while ago I mentioned the "lip gloss" that is supposed to curb your appetite. BUY IT- it really works for me. It actually tastes good and looks pretty, and keeps me from being hungry.

-Write out ten good reasons to commit/resist temptation on an index card or piece of paper, when you feel hungry.

-Take lots of showers. They are cleansing and relaxing.

-Go vegetarian. Besides being an amazing lifestyle with so many benefits that I am so proud to be a part of, it is great for losing weight. Plus it gives you an excuse to turn down foods all the time. I am thinking of going vegan this summer.

-Make to-do lists! They will keep you super busy.

MORE LATER. I swear.

Love and love and love.
